Selection of the unit of cross-section areas of transverse reinforcement bars (stirrups) per length unit. The length unit used for area calculation may be different to the length unit of the related length (e.g. cm2/m).

In order to get more clear and better readable results lists, the units [cm2/m] or [inch2/ft] are often used, even if both length units for structural dimensions and for cross-section parameters are defined as [m] or [ft].
